I have changed the secondary fuel filter on my C7 twice now. On my coach it's really easy to get at from the engine opening in the bedroom. The first time I did nothing and installed the filter without any fuel in it. It fired right up and I let it idle and everything was ok. I just changed it for the second time and I duct taped the center hole shut and filled it with diesel fuel from the hole on the outside diameter of filter. This way the fuel will be filtered. Again it started right up without hesitation. No priming needed in my case. Of course I removed the duct tape before installing.;)
