Changing tire size on class A

So my coach has 235/80/22.5 tires on it now. I called local tire place that does big truck and Rv tires and they suggested changing to the Toyo M154 245/75/22.5. They said it is basically the same size and has the same load rating as my tires do now. What’s everyone’s thoughts on changing size and also anyone have the m154 and how do you like them ??

    Don't know about changing sizes, or your size in particular, but we have 19.5 Toyo tires on our coach and have been very pleased. We have had them almost 7 years, so will be replacing due to age, but they look very good yet. No sidewall cracking, lots of tread etc. We do keep them covered when we are parked for more than a couple of weeks.

    The difference is about .16" - which is insignificant. In fact, there's that much variation between brands of the same size.
    I think it would be fine.

    Yup, no problem, as long as the 235/80 had sufficient carrying capacity for your actual weight, suspect the 245/75 will be just fine.

    All right, I'll bite. If they're "almost" the same size and have identical weight ratings, what 'advantage' are you looking for? Put back on what the mfg put on, unless there's some other reason. My 2 cents...Dennis

    Dennis, I know you like Michelin and using OEM but only Michelin makes a 235/80/22.5 tire for $700+. You can almost buy 2 Toyo's for $700. When you search Ebay for the 235/80/22.5, 245/75/22.5 shows up with it so it's a common replacement for the expensive Michelin.

    Dennis the price difference is why I’m asking. I can get the Toyo’s for 1800 plus tax installed. The Michelin’s are over 3000. That’s a big difference to me.

    If the pricing was the other way around I'd still take the Toyos. :W

    I just got rid of my last set of Michelins, the OEM tire on my Ford Super Duty truck. 60,000 mile rated tire, bald at 28,000. I've owned 3 Super Duty diesels with the same tire, the best set made it 35,000 miles. This set was the worst at 28,000.

    I changed my 235/80/22.5 to the toyos 245/75/22.5 was a great move love the toyos speedometer did not change
