chirpping

We have a 2007 Fleetwood revolution. It is plugged in all the time in a 3 sided building. ( front is open, the unit is back in) It makes a chirping noise. It looks like everything is normal when we go in to check. Just cant figure out the chirping it makes. Any ideas?
  • DutchmenSport, it is showing 30 amps, which is what have it plugged into. Can the power converter go bad but because it is plugged into shore power, still show 30 amps? I am not an " electricity" person. I do have a sil who is , but he lives several states away. Anyway, waitng for your reply, and thanks!

Not a smoke detector , you can hear this outside. New battery. And the carbon monoxide is wired direct.. Good thought tho, thanks.

It doesn't matter how the CO detector is wired. They will chirp when their service life has expired.
  • When the battery on my camper gets low (if the camper is not plugged in for a while), my power converter will chirp. I can hear it from outside the camper.

You said you have a new battery, but is it really charged up? Are you sure your have shore power? Maybe a breaker in the shed flipped, and over time, the battery with parasetic draw, simply depleted the battery.

Make sure you on-shore power source is active. Check inside with an appliance plugged in to make sure your camper is getting power. But, sure does sound like the power converter and low battery warning chirp to me.

  • OR a CO detector that is probably original and should have been changed a few years ago. They do have around a 5 year life span.
