I don't understand how that damage (which you have showed many times) is related to the fiberglass roof. Sorry, but fiberglass doesn't leak or a lot of boat manufacturers would have some issues right now :). There are no seams on the roof (it is 1 piece), so it was leaking at one of the seals - actually it looks like the skylight. How can that be blamed on fiberglass, as it would do the same thing with any membrane roof.
It leaks at the channel where the roof meets the sidewall - isn't that obvious? Look at the water staining where the roof and wall meet, it had that on both sides, and with Winnies domed roof it sure can't leak up hill.
Actually no - it's not obvious to me. It looks like it came from the skylight and ran to the sidewall. Regardless, there is no way water can get into that edge seam unless it was already under the fiberglass when it got there. Even if the seal in the channel allowed water to pass, it would have to go uphill to get into the joint between the wall and roof system.
There would have to be 1) 8" of snow on top of an open slide topper or awning, 2) a bad seal in the channel and 3) the weep holes in the channel plugged, for water to back up into that joint the way I'm seeing it.
Perhaps the design of that old Adventurer really was different.
