Class A F-53 Chassis OBD Plug In Diagnostic Connector

I have a 2000 REXHALL Rose Air Class A.

I cannot find the OBD-2 Diagnostic connector any place.
I have looked under the dash .. and under the hood... several times , but no can find.
Before this... I had a 1998 BOUNDER F-53 , and could never find the connector on it either.

Does anybody with a 1997-2002 , or so , F-53 chassis .... know where they placed this connector ?

Thank You

  • Mine was actually held on the right side of the steering column with a couple of screws into the steering column. I took it lose and bolted it under the dash where I can get to it real easy.
  • on my 97 F53 Bounder
i found under the dog house
    left side, forward

right where i was told to look
  • I FOUND IT !

    Thanks to everyone that responded..
It was just above the right knee area ... mounted against the steering column.
OUT OUT SIGHT ... with a cap on it .....

I never could actually SEE IT ... but felt it , took off the cap .... and plugged in my OBD-2 diagnostic plug.

WHEW ! .............. Easter egg hunts are easier than this !

That's the OBD1 port that was used on the 460 V8 powered F53's, with 1997 being the last year they were made. The 1999 F53's began the 6.8L Triton V10 powered F53's with a steering column mounted OBD2 port. There were no 1998 model year F53's.
