CLASS A GEORGETOWN 280

POWER STEPS WILL NOT RETRACT. THE LIGHT IN THE STEP SWITCH DOES NOT BURN NOW.
  • check the magnet on the door and make sure that it is lined up. Also check the fuse to the steps which is located under the steps themselves, to ensure you have power to them.
  • If fuse and magnets are good try tapping on the motor under the steps with a rubber hammer or block of wood. My 98 Georgetown used to do that once in a while and tapping on the motor would get them back working.
Although if light is not working either sounds like you may have lost power somewhere
  • Should be two fuses in the battery control center. One should on the chassis for control from ignition switch and one from the battery operating the switch for motor power.
Since the light doesn't work, I am guessing no power or no ground under the step.
