Class C motorhomes, Do they all leak?

We've been looking for a used Class C motorhome. Every one that we've inspected, has had visible signs of water leakage/damage specially over the cab area. Can't manufacturers find a way to build these without having leakage issues? Frustrating!
  • born free, coach house, or other higher end brands that don't use laminated walls slapped together with screws and metal trim generally won't have issues, my 04 born free is the best class c I've ever had

The first two do not apply to us and the third one better not either! :)

  • Look for one that does not have a front window in the bunk area. That doesn't mean it wont leak, but less chance. Dick

    No......................
  • Mine is a '99 dryer than a bone. Never had any problems but that doesn't mean it can't happen. I am ordering a new Minnie Winnie. My '99 will be up for sale shortly.
  • Our son commented, when we were looking, that RV's with sharp right angles at the roof/wall joint will all leak, because the design's flawed; and that the roof design to look for is a curved "cap" over the walls.
  • find one with a fiberglass body, look for a born free rv,there nice units well built.
