Clean rubber roof

I began cleaning the rubber roof on my 2011 Jayco Greyhawk with Spic and Span per the roof manufacturer. This will only clean the surface grime accumulated but not the black spots that have grown everywhere. Tried grey streak remover-little better. Tried straight bleach-about the same.
Has anyone found a suitable cleaner to remove the black spots from a rubber roof mh short of a roof replacement?
Thanks.
  • As stated, be very careful trying to get your roof sparkling white. A little bit dirty roof is much better than a sparkling white roof that has been damaged and leaking by cleaning it too much.

It's the seals and seams that really matter, not how it looks.
  • EPDM or TPO? If EPDM it may well be just the normal sluffing off of the top layer, nothing to be conserned about.
Getting too agressive with scrubbing EPDM will only increase the sluffing.
If its TPO try one of the products used for vinyl siding, but nothing with petroleum distillates or citric acid.
  • Don't clean my roof, but you can try Tilex and green scrubby as we use this on the slide roof and it works well.
