- WidowsSonExplorerI am in the same boat (so to speak) with my class C, someone taped the trim up, I had it fixed but there is tape residue. What is best to remove it and not destroy the paint?
- donn0128Explorer IIFor tape residue I use lacquer thinner. For Polish McGuires boat/RV products in the blue bottles does wonders. Collinite is another fantastic product that will give a great shine
- ksg5000ExplorerUse forum search feature - Red Max Pro. When I work on the cab over area I use combo of ladder, laying on roof, and opening engine hood and stand on flat space near radiator. Depends on how tall you/rig are.

Try WD40 first. If you need something stronger, use

Don't let it linger on any decals though.
OK, back to the original questions, I hope... - Snowman9000Explorer

First I have to clean the grime off. At least I think so. - ksg5000Explorer

Those threads will tell you how to clean - many use Bar keepers friend. - GENECOPExplorer IIYou can do it by hand, get a nice rubbing compound then hand apply a couple of nice coats of wax...
- burlmartExplorerhave always used turtle wax car wash for car and RV. They shine pretty well after washing, but not sure if the product would work as a rehab.
I have been lazy 'bout washing over last couple years, so mine may be dull now also, I'm not sure
being legally blind does come with some advantages. - hotbyteExplorerAs far as reaching area, I have one of those multiposition ladders that makes into a 4' high, 8' long scaffold. 4' high just barely clears hood so I use some lego levelers from camper and 4X4' to raise it another several inches. I use same ladder scaffold setup to work my way down sides and around back. I forget name (it isn't Big Giant or whatever) but got it as Ace Hardware to do our paint hallway over stairs.

Hmmm, I have one of those ladders. Sounds perfectly safe!
