HR, after reading the 5 pages, I believe you have fixed the problem. I remembered that I had filled a gallon paint thinner can, half full of bleach about 8 months ago. I went to the garage and checked the can. There was no smell of bleach. I poured it into our sewer clean-out drain, and it looked clear. There is no sign of damage to the inside of the can. It is doubtful that any damage would be done, even if you started the engine and ran the bleach through the system. Now, if you started it and it died, and you left it in the system, there is a slight chance that there would be damage done. Most bleach you buy at store is 3%, very weak. Pool bleach is 6%. The powdered pool bleach is between 35% and 65%. Aluminum does not like bleach, but very little damage is done to it.
You ask what I base my statements on? Experience, I know that everyone is just trying to help you, but, just like sugaring the tank, most of the fables are just that. As was said earlier, gas and sugar do not mix, It may plug the fuel filter. Now, jello on the other hand....
