Coach Net, FMCA I'm confused, which is nothing new

We will stick with Coach Net, towed once 12 years ago. Driver under the MH on a 6 lane highway, took us to the nearest safe dealership, not the nearest as it was in East ST. Louis. They also offer tech support,

It sounds like FMCA is continuing to reduce the benefits of being a part of FMCA. They stopped including paid emergency help for members unless you paid an additional fee. I had ERS through GS before and they let me down = too bad for FMCA

It was the other way around. Coachnet severed with FMCA

I'm sticking with CoachNet, as they have been very good to me since I switched to them in Jan of 2009! Don't know FMCA's problem with them except what was stated above. But just because FMCA has severed ties doesn't mean I have to. In fact, CoachNet just recently renewed me at the old rate instead of bumping up the cost to the new rate. Made me feel like a special customer! Not many companies are doing that kind of stuff in this day and age. No complaints in my book about their new business model. It still makes the customer number one!

Coach-Net is, and always has been, a division of National Motor Club. Good Sam uses Allstate Motor Club as their ERS contractor. FMCA may have had a discount arrangement with Coach-Net at one time, but apparently has a deal with Allstate currently.

I am not a expert on this matter either, but my Good Sam Roadside Assistance card says that either Affinity Road & Travel Club LLC or Americas Road & Travel Club, Inc is the provider depending on where you have coverage. JMO

Regardless of what it says on your card, the current contractor that answers the phone and dispatches the roadside service for Good Sam Enterprises (Good Sam Club, Camping World, etc.) is Allstate. Good Sam Enterprises (formerly Affinity Group) does not operate their own ERS.

How does the system work?

I got Coach-Net "free" when I purchase my motorhome new. I've used them for problems 3 times. Each and every time, they came thru for me...so I have absolutely no complaints with them
I'm sticking with them. I've got the "basic" plan....$100+ a year...and when I needed them, it was worth $1000. A blowout on I-10 in Texas? One cell-phone call and back on the road in 2 1/2 hours. THAT was worth a million bucks.

Hopefully the Allstate gives better service than they did for us about 5 yrs ago.

Called for help and got an operator with a THICK accent. Told her where we were. three different ways, including actual street address. All the help we got was "No can find you on map". Dropped them as soon as we could.

Coach-Net will continue to receive my $. After one ride on a LowBoy for 200 miles with a 40 foot DP, I think that I owe them my loyalty until they prove otherwise. Not a penny out of pocket for that ride!
