Coach-Net has changed it's business practices for the worse

Coach-Net is now requiring that you buy their services from the dealer you bought your RV from. When I escalated I was told that they get major kickbacks from my dealer and as part of that contract are forcing me to go back to that dealer (who is terrible) to do business with Coach-Net.

FOR THE OLD GRUMP FARTS OUT THERE: This does not affect ERS just the insurance products. You can continue to buy your ERS. Again your ERS is NOT affected.

I am going to drop Coach-Net completely. Does anyone use FMCA roadside and if so, are you happy with them?

  • I just renewed on Coach-Net directly with them. No dealer involved. I have been with Coach-Net for 14 years.

I've always bought my CN service from PPL at quite a savings over going direct. Just renewed, in fact. CN wants to sell, like anyone else and could care less how they get paid.
  • If what you say is true of course you will drop Coach-Net as well as all of their other customers. No one in their right mind wants to go through a RV dealer for ERS when Good Sam etc. is available with a phone call or mouse click.
  • This doesn't seem like CoachNet's ERS. I've never been required to even provide the name of a dealer let alone required to deal with one.

Maybe some clarification by the OP is in order here...
  • Something doesn't sound right. Can't see where a dealer would have anything to do with roadside service. Maybe for their extended service contracts? Their web site still shows you can purchase their ERS directly from that web site.

The dealer I purchased from went out of business years ago. Hard to believe that would make me ineligible for Coach-net ERS if I didn't already have it. Just renewed and have no plan to cancel. But I don't have an extended service contract.

There is a separate Coach-net of California, Inc. Maybe that is the problem.
