Cold air intake water bleeder valve- Cummins 350 ISC

The other day I went to bleed any access water that might have collected in my cold air intake after a long hard rain. Upon doing so, the rubber bleeder valve (as I refer to it) fell out into my hand.

Upon attempting to re-install the bleeder valve, I discovered that the hole was actually cut too big, and the rubber bleeder valve was only being held in place by a glob of sealant!

My questions is until I can do a proper "fix", can I run with this hole opened? Or, should I temporarily cover/plug it?

That's exactly what I was thinking Don, just wanted to be sure.
