Coleman-Mach Mach 3 Plus air conditioner Question

I have a Coleman-Mach Mach 3 Plus air conditioner and I pulled off the interior ceiling cover to vacuum out the dust covered A/C fins. While doing it, I must have disconnected one of the wires labeled "FREEZE" as shown in the photos. Problem is I don't know where it is plugged into, or if I even need it to be plugged in. The A/C still works with this wire unplugged.

Does anyone have information or knowledge what this wire does or where it needs to be plugged into?

    No photos here since you use Photo dump..er. bucket and I don't

    But the freeze sensor just plugs in to the evaporator coils near the bottom.. Precise positioning is not really all that important.

    Thanks guys for the information. I tackled the problem from the roof and removed the cowl and sheet metal to access the fins where the temp sensor resided. Beside easy access I was able to vacuum all the debris from the fins which increased the efficiency of the A/C :C

    OH ok, Sorry, I thought your first pic showed it taped up. It goes at the edge of the coil to sense ice build up. Usually there will be a small area in the fins where they originally placed it. Look along the lower edge and there may be a gap in the fins. Be careful because the coil tubes are in there and carry the refrigerant.
