If you are not inclined to diagnose it yourself than do as others suggested and take it to the Ford TRUCK repair.
I will say that the most common defect is the brake pedal switch or the activation switch on the steering wheel. If you are inclined to diagnose it then let us know and I might be able to help you out.
The first thing he told me when I took it in was "Most likely it is the switch on the brake pedal" he put a new one on then he had the steering wheel off and guess he found nothing there. I think he told me that he now thought it needed a new module something and that they do not make that anymore. I found that hard to believe that they do not make parts for a 2004. Appreciate all the advice guys. Man, I really want my cruise to work and do not want to put on an after market one. Will be heading to Florida next month and really would be nice to have cruise.
