I looked at your other post about overheating. If that problem hasn't been resolved, it needs to be. Most common issue is poor air circulation which is easily fixed by cleaning radiator fins. I'm not sure on that engine but on my 05 when the clutch fan died it overheated on any hard pull. You definitely need to search out a new mechanic. As a side note, if you experience overheating as a emergency measure to get you to safety you can turn on the heater and it will lower the engine temp.
