- blangenExplorerI don't have them to link to but I have watched several on Youtube. A few different methods but the key appears to be, at the end, a light spray of starch and dry in a closed position to get crisp pleats.
- Dick_BExplorerHere's a link that might help: http://www.howtocleanstuff.net/how-to-clean-daynight-shades/
- Clay_LExplorerWe put ours in the shower and sprayed them - both sides - with Scrubbing Bubbles. After letting them soak for a while we sprayed them with the shower wand. It was amazing how much brown water rinsed out. We put them on a picnic table in a semi-closed position and let them dry overnight. They looked much better and the pleats were still there.
- WhitetailExplorerThanks everyone. Will tackle them very soon and check back in. Regardless how the pleats react to a soapy bath, at least they'll be fresh and clean. Happy I'll be.
- prstlkExplorerCould you please post your outcome?
Thanks - TinstarExplorerI've washed mine and they came out great. Soaked them heavy with Greased Lightning. I rinsed the small ones in the shower an the big ones in the pool. I sprayed them heavy with spray starch, folded them loosely and set in the sun to dry.
- Hank_MIExplorerSoaked ours in the bathtub in oxyclean. Rinsed with the shower wand and let them dry. After hanging them back up I sprayed them with spray starch, closed them up and let them dry for a few days. Turned out good.
- WhitetailExplorerGot those day/night shades cleaned today! Vacuumed, soaked in very warm water with addtiion of Dawn Platinum and Simple Green. Lightly scrubbed with brush, rinsed well. They are very clean and drying flat after re-forming the pleats. Thank everyone. Those responses were were the push I needed.
