on my rig, if charger fails, and "salesman" switch is in off position, no DC will be delivered to rig

and, "some" dc components will not operate even if charger/12v supply is on and "salesman" switch is off

Lazy salesman use it, instead of turning off lights and power using devices

On older Monaco's the most obvious fault for this OP's problem will be the failure of the Disconnect SOLENOID. This solenoid controls all DC power to his unit. Even from The Inverter/Charger. Remember, Inverter/Chargers ONLY supply power to the Coach battery bank. Nothing else. IF the Battery bank power cannot flow THRU the Disconnect solenoid, you will have NO 12 volt power in the RV. 1996, model, I am not sure that older year had the disconnect relay on the Power Board that has most of the Chassis/Coach fuses. It is usually located in the LF of the Motorhome in front of the LF tire in the first storage compartment. The solenoid will be ON that large board with all the various fuses. Dynasty is different from above, at least in 2001(that's as far back as REV group goes in on line manual). Click this link and look at page 230, which will show the solenoid in the rear of the RV. The solenoid is the LARGE solenoid in the center of the pic with the large battery cables attached. Doug

I believe the salesman switch is a relay, if that relay or its control circuit fails no dc will be delivered to coach, take a look at that

Check to see if power is getting from the battery to the 12 volt dc power distribution center. If it is not--then look for a fuse or an automatic circuit breaker. Measure again before and after the fuse or other device.

No power from shore power, genset or batteries would indicate that the main 12 volt Fuse in the 12 volt power distribution panel has failed.
In order for the 120 volt system to prevent 12 volts DC to fail would be the converter or inverter/charger. This should have no effect on batteries supplying 12 volts DC.
Only place they are common is in the 12 volt DC power distribution panel.
Salesman switch would only disconnect the batteries.
Look adjacent to the 120 volt circuit breakers for a small metal plate that covers the fuses.

Maybe a blown fuse near the battery.

The interface which monitors the dc/ac is blinking when plugged in or generator on. The manual says “Blinking Overload-inverter mode overload, excessive DC voltage ripple. Remove loads from DC battery bank.” I truly do not understand what my next move should be.

I did try to disconnect switch by the door but it did not change anything. DC not working.
