June??? Wow, they must be BUSY!

I am in industrial sales and the economy from what I'm seeing is very healthy. Seeing this leads me to think the RV industry is doing ok too.

Received good deals from both dealers. The new build was with $3000 of stock model. My concern is with new build is it won't be ready until June which is perfect for us in terms of use. However, we will be financing and would not be able to lock in rate until May. Not sure worth gambling interest rates won't jump. Just 1/2 percentage point would be huge. probably should go with in stock model and hope don't have to deal with there after purchase service. But would save on cost to winterize if I went new build. Lol

Thanks for response. RVone happens to be the one offering deal. I have seen lots of negative reviews on them. Even the Newmar rep admitted they had issues but we're working to correct. Dylan's is the other which has great reviews. RV one would be in stock purchase and Dylan's is new build. Think we may put one at RV one and can put down money to hold until we look. Just worried if it would be a fight to get refund back if we decide to not purchase.

We actually had put money down twice before on units that we later decided to not purchase for various reasons. There was never an issue getting the deposit refunded. It was always done within a few days of the deal being voided. You can make sure that the deposit is refundable by getting it in an email or in writing from the sales person, but we have never had an issue.

We are about six miles from their Buffalo RV location and their service has always been good. I have never had any negative issues with them. Obviously that is the case or I never would have ordered another rig from them.

It is really a shame what Camping World has done to Tom Johnson Camping Centers. We have bought three American Coach units there in less than 10 years. Service has gone from top notch two years ago to they don't even want to schedule a service appointment or even return phone calls for service requests.

Seems some of the best sales have still been in Florida at LazyDays. It is just so far from home. . . . . . . . .

Excellent point. I'm now struggling on whether to purchase from dealer that has offered great deal but service is poor or good dealer but pay $5000 more? I contacted Newmar rep directly with my concern on service from dealer. He assured me that any issues I had would be taken care of. Gave me his direct number as well as companies service specialist. Would you go with great deal or pay extra for possible great service. Im not swimming in money so $5000 is a lot to me. Tough decision

As a 3X Newmar owner, based on our experience, I'd be willing to take our chances and go with the lower price. I can literally count on one hand the number of issues we've had since 1999 when the first one came home.
As far as anything covered within the warranty period, our current one needed an air conditioner changed.

With that said, we've also had excellent dealers so maybe a proper PDI caught and/or headed off any issues before we ever took delivery. There was never any delays in picking them up so obviously nothing big was ever found.

Unfortunately neither dealer still sells Class As of any type. The better business model for the smaller Mom & Pop dealers is selling travel trailers.

$5000 over 10 years is only $500 a year.
