I don't want a good deal on a coach that I don't like! 1. Floor Plan, 2. Engine & Trans 3. Colors

Thank you everyone for your input. We purchase the used 2010 Fleetwood Southwind. Took our first trip last weekend and heading out again this weekend.

Yes, as I mentioned I had some issues with a couple of things with the Fleetwood. First, I did not like how the door to the bathroom opened up. I prefer it to open towards the living area. This way when I get out of the shower I can walk to the bedroom and not surprise any quest that may be in the living area. EASY FIX...I had the door reveresed. Second, the only TV in the living area was above the driver/passager seat. EASY FIX...left the tv there, but purchased a 46" and took the mirror down that was on the wall of the living area and had the TV installed. Wow...tight fit, only 1/3 inch space left for when the sliders come in. We had to purchase the thinest tv on the market. But, it works perfect.

So now I have everything I wanted, plus we got a killer of a deal.
Now we just need to retire so we can enjoy the open road. Except now we are looking for a great car to tow. So I'm sure I'll be posting for suggestion under another topic soon. First need to feel comfortable drive this...so far very easy.

None of the above. You said you weren't totally happy with any of the floor plans. You will always have that in your mind. Keep Looking!!

As a former owner of a 2013 Fleetwood Excursion 33a, I would suggest crossing that off your list. We bought ours last September and had many major issues with it. The inverter was bad and had to be replaced, the table would not function as it was supposed to and had to be returned to Fleetwood ( in Indiana) for repairs. The bathroom faucet leaked all over the counter and had to be replaced by tearing out an entire wall panel, the shower floor had a rip/ tear in it and had to be repaired twice, our slide leaked and water ran into a basement compartment which rusted and had to be sanded and repaired... and I'm just getting started. Maybe we just had a lemon, but when I saw your post, I had to respond and hopefully save someone from going through what we had to endure.

Okay...we test drove the Allegro tonight. We had just about everything on this test drive. Hills, narrow lanes, wind and freeway. It handled beautiful on the freeway with wind and large trucks passing by. The narrow road with concete barriers on both sides for 1 miles was a challenge. For some reason the Fleetwood Southwind that we test drove was much easier at turning. The Allegro tonight had play in the steering and not as easy with the full turns. Is the play in the steering normal? We LOVE everything else about the Allegro. Feedback please, before we make a decision.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. We have narrowed it down to Tiffin forsure. Driving the 2013 Allegro 31SA tonight and looking at the 30G this weekend. Anything we should know about on these?

We struggled with the gas vs diesel. But, really like the floorplan of the 31SA. Plus, trying to keep the length around 33/34 ft.

Has anyone added stableizers on their coach? If so, did it help.

I would try to figure out how you are going to use it and your preferred camping style. Are you a traveler or camper? Do you like FHU's CG's or NF, NP or more remote type CG's? Are you retired and will use the MH often, full time, snowbird or 3 mos per year? Once you figure out how you will use it then the decision will be easier, but still not easy.

Given the fact that I am not a fan of any of the DP's listed I would opt for the Southwind. If disappointed with, much less money involved.
