Just to be clear, it's a bit of hyperbole to suggest that most any class C drives "like a car." Cars are not eight feet or more wide, and accelerate much more briskly, and brake more surely, and turn more sharply and with less tippiness. That's not to discount differences between motorhomes, of course.
My experience with my 32' class C has been that the width takes the most getting used to and is the biggest concern. Tail swing and general maneuverability in tight situations does require some planning ahead in gas stations and parking lots, but is of little if any concern when actually driving down the highway. It is, of course, necessary to drive more conservatively and think a little farther ahead to give plenty of time and space to brake or turn.
