Diesel Pusher with Bunks?

Looking at buying my first MH. I am trying to find something in the $50-60k range. The feature number one on my list is a way for our two kids to be able to sleep WITHOUT having to pull out the couch and convert the table EVERY night, then have to restore it every morning.

So I am currently looking for something with bunkbeds.

Are there any Diesel Pushers with bunkbeds? And do I have much of a chance of finding one in the $50-60 range?

Open to other suggestions as well!

Thanks!
Chris

    Forest River Berkshire has bunks.

I was going to say that!
And those are around 150k new, so getting one a few years old for 60 shouldn't be too hard.
  • Thanks Katoomer. I think I saw another one of your posts and looked into Newmar's. Seems all of the DP's with bunks are very hard to find before 2013. Either it means that they just didn't make many... or people like them so much that they don't want to give them up. I agree that it will probably take closer to 100k to find one.

Being that this is our very first MH -- or camping rig of any type -- I think I am much better off trying to find a gasser around $50 to start. If we like it we can always move up in the future. And if we hate it hopefully we can get out without losing our shirts!

    Thanks for the advice!

  • There are DPs with bunks. We love our Newmar. You will most likely have to pay closer to
80 or 100K to get one. Our friends sold their 2008 Damon Astoria with bunks last year for
90K. We are really glad we went with the diesel over gas.
  • In the gassers there are lots and lots in the $50-60 range. My plan is to buy later this fall unless something great comes along in the meantime. I had a nice lead on a 2006 Georgetown that looked to be in super shape for $36k -- Problem was that it was in Canada and the import hassle ended up being more than I wanted to deal with.

I figure I probably will go with a gasser, but always keeping my options open and wondering if there IS such a thing as a DP with bunks. (Other than the tour-bus type option.) If they do exist, I might be willing to save up a little bit more and go a little higher on the price.

    Anyone?
