Is it really the toilet, or some transport system that moves the contents to the holding tank
The Dometic 310 is a gravity flush model, designed to sit over the holding tank.
He is hearing the vacuum pump in the transport system that breaks up the waste and transports it to the remotely located (for that toilet) holding tank.
We had a similar one on a houseboat, and you did not want to flush when anyone was sleeping. :)
