I tried posting to this thread at least 6 times. Every time I did it would not go. One time I let the computer try for over half an hour. The posting got into some kind of loop and would never appear on the screen. This has happened in the past. Anytime I attempt a post I copy it in Word in case the system fails. I have never been able to copy from Word and paste into the reply box and have it successfully transferred to the thread. Is there something about cut and paste that triggers the system to disallow the post?
Here's my original post. This time I'm typing in the text rather than attempting a copy and paste:
In response to DrewE's comment, LPG is propane. just stored at a sufficient pressure that it's liquid at ambient temperatures.
LPG Liquefied Petroleum Gas does contain Propane gas. However it does not have to contain the same amount as the product sold as Propane.
To be labeled as LPG the gas has to contain a minimum of 51 percent propane. The remainder can be Butane, propylene, and other gasses. While Butane has more BTU's than propane it does not vaporize well at low temperatures. Depending on the amount of Butane in the mix the gas may not vaporize below 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
Gas sold as HD5 propane must contain a minimum of 90 percent Propane and a maximum of 5 percent propylene. This mixture will vaporize down to 45 degrees below zero Fahrenheit. Both LPG and Propane are stored under sufficient pressure to keep them in liquid form at ambient temperatures.
