Maybe post what year and model MH.
We could be more accurate about your system.
Most MH only charge Cisco batts on shore power.
Some have a Trik L Start added. Usually higher $$ MH's.
My MH is a 1993 Jamboree Ralley, made by Fleetwood.
The owners manual did not list the make or model of shorepower/convertor unit it comes equipped with. It did say that whenever the AC/DC power convertor is plugged into 120v, the coach batteries would charge automatically. It also cautioned that if another charging source was used, (meaning an external charger I presume), to make sure the batteries did not overcharge. I would gather from that, this means the shore-power unit has a sensor, to prevent overcharging.
There is no mention whatsoever of the shore-power also charging the engine battery, so I believe it will have to be maintained separately.
The manual did mention that coach batteries would also be charged by the engine's alternator when the engines running. I am not sure if it charges all three equally at the same time, or if it switches automatically, depending on which battery is needing charging via an isolator/regulator of sorts?
Now if one coach battery is discharged more, or weaker than the other, I'm not sure if it would recognize that fact? Depending how the isolator/regulator functions, it may allow a charge to both, even though one may not require it, or, it may even sense the battery that is not discharged, and sense both of them are charged and cut out?
It's all very mysterious...lol..
