I think it has more to do with the size and shape of the seat rather than the dog house. Some seats are wider and even have a door-side arm rest. Those might not work. Also, you might have to replace your doghouse tray with another snap-on version. They do snap-off and on very easily.
Our 2007 E350 chassis shown below, the seat swivels as shown, but note the missing door-side arm rest right where my wife's boots are. The seat is not huge either. Also worth mentioning, the seat does not have any power features, only manual adjustments.
My brother's Starflyte on a 1998 E350 chassis has bigger more plush seats and maybe armrests on both sides. I don't think his seat could swivel because it is just too bulky. Admittedly we did not try to convert it so maybe it could. Just not sure about it.
I suppose it depends on the size and style of seat your particular RV outfitter installed.
