To check if it is something in the wiring, switch, fuse or whatever, electric awnings I've worked with have a jumper connection where you can hook up straight 12V directly to it.
Mine has 2 little metal loops on the motor end that protrude out of the roller tube at the top.
If you apply 12V and ground there and the awning functions, you'll know you have to trace the circuit. But if nothing happens, then the motor is suspect.
