eternabond tape
I would like to seal the roof seems with eternabond tape.There are hard white stuff on the seems.Can I tape right over it or are there more to it.

- You don't need to remove old caulk. Just clean it good with Acetone or alcohol and let it dry before applying the Eternabond. :)
- We removed the old caulk in places and in other places we just taped over it. I don't think it matters much, but might look a little better if you remove the old caulk.

- You could probably tape over it (Eternabond is amazing stuff), but will a putty knife or a sander remove the old caulk (hard white stuff)? If the surface is smooth, you will get a much better bond and it will look better after it is done.
