Everything worked
I love it when stuff works the right way.
I got the motor home out of storage, checked the tires, washed it, added fresh water and topped off the gas. We used the motor home for a family outing on Mothers Day and then left San Diego for Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Discovered a flat tire on our second morning during my pre-departure check and then my credit card was denied. Turned out to be a case of credit card fraud; the fraudulent charges were removed, the account closed and a new card mailed to PA. I had planned on using the card to get cash back rewards but at least we had enough cash to use our debit card for the rest of the trip.
That was the only disappointment. The heater worked to take off the morning chill, the freezer/refrigerator kept the food fresh, the microwave heated leftovers, the stove heated fresh food, and the water heater provided more hot water than we needed and the tow dolly did its job without a problem. Cable reception was good on both TVs and the one time we had to use the antenna we got several HD stations. We dumped on our last morning and added plenty of water and bleach to both tanks to clean them. I forgot to check but the black tank probably still indicates 2/3 full: any other reading is only momentary.
All I have to do is get an oil/filter change and lubrication. I won’t drain and refill the fresh water until we’re ready for another get away.
