Exhaust brake with Cruise Control on ??

My EB works when CC is on as if I am controlling acceleration and braking. No different.

and when the speed declines to the cruise control setting, the exhaust brake deactivates and the cruise control takes over again - no muss, no fuss, no need to mess with the speed control at all!

What I have to say isn't directly relevant to the OP's question, but I think it is interesting to see how differently they design these systems between the Class A world and the 5th wheel world. For example, my 2015 Silverado 2500 HD has CC and EB that are completely compatible. It's great to sit back and let the systems work together when going down slightly-to-moderately steep hills. Of course, on seriously steep hills where I have to brake, the CC kicks off.

Boy I wish mine worked that way. With cruise on as soon as the RV accelerates a bit going down the hill, the exhaust brake comes on and I have to reset the cruise to get organized again.

As you can see, there is no "standard" way that exhaust/compression brakes are wired.

One could give good reasons for the wide variety of ways these are set up.

Learn how yours works. If you would prefer it to operate differently, ask your chassis/coach maker it the change is possible.

Mine is a little different as the Compression Brake takes priority. If I turn it on it cancels the CC but turning on the cc will not turn off the Compression brake.

yes it is. You'd think engaging the EB would turn off cruise, but I guess those systems aren't quite that smart.
