I boiled mine out a few times (losing my brakes in the process). Not fun.
I'll definitely do more research on the fluid... would hate for that to happen.
I think I've solved the reason the passenger's side rotor and pads are in such good shape... I believe the caliper pistons are stuck, so likely this side of the axle wasn't even receiving braking power, with the other axles taking the brunt (and why they've worn down so quickly - a week after it was inspected).
Looking at the photo you can see the seals look burnt? or warped? Surprised they don't seem to be leaking fluid... this is still speculation on my part, but I believe these pistons were stuck (or is it possible another culprit was preventing this caliper from compressing?)
