First time trying to fill air in the inside wheel on the back of the motorhome and curious if anyone has any tips? I can get the outside tire just fine but the inside tire is at an angle and I cant get through the rim at the proper angle to fill it out?

Don't know what kind of Rv you have but you'll need a longer air chuck, or install valve extenders. I am surprised they didn't come on your MH.

You need to get a Trucker type air nozzle. It has an offset head just made for duals. I would stay away from valve stem extenders. That can be a source of leaks.

X3 on the extenders. I had three go bad in a matter of months. I finally bit the bullet and put on dually solid valve stems. No more leaks and easy to adjust the tire pressures.To the OP, unless you have a truck-style air chuck, you probably won't be able to get air into that inner tire.

Air-through valve caps are well worth while for the inner (and outer) duallies. A proper dually chuck is essential. In many cases, getting one where the far end for the inners is straight-on rather than at an angle may work more easily.Duallies are rather an annoyance to maintain, to be honest, but probably better than most of the other options overall.

Yeah, the solid metal ones seem to work OK. It's the braided flexible extenders that I've had trouble with.

I did have a solid extender that the rubber seal gave out in only 4 years. It would leak down to 40 psi overnight. Really annoying.

Yeah, the solid metal ones seem to work OK. It's the braided flexible extenders that I've had trouble with.

after many years of doing the separate tire gauge and air filling chuck I went with this one.Click Life is so much easier now. Takes less time to fill tires. Should have done this a long time ago.

X2... 13 years with OEM extenders and never a leak or problem.

Ok, I'll be the contrarian, I have had valve extenders on all three of my motor homes, the last with tpm's and never a problem. Also have owned several work trucks with dual rear wheels, always used extenders and never had a problem. Makes checking and filing a snap.

In some cases neither of the trucker style chucks will work. We have 22.5" wheels on our 2013 Winnebago Adventurer. I have both style chucks on Milton inflators. Neither would fit through the small hole in the outer aluminum wheel and align with the valve stem on the inner wheel.

Rather than add valve stem extenders I modified one of the inflators. I used the one with the angled foot. I removed the original 1/8" pipe extension between the gauge and the foot and replaced it with a 12" length of 5/16" brake line and an adaptor on each end. I bent the brake line to go through the outer wheel and allow the foot to connect with the inner valve stem.

The inflator I use looks like this, but has an angled foot rather than the straight on one.

Keep in mind I only used the foot, not the complete assembly. I got the brake line and adaptors at our local NAPA store

I've found that removing the wheel liners makes it much easier.
