- JimExplorerGood suggestion...
Halogens have been dangerous in every single consumer application in which they've been used since their invention. I wouldn't have one anywhere near me or my family at work, home, and certainly not in the RV.
Nowadays, LEDs are the answer. - SCVJeffExplorer

The OEM fixture is about the only thing that makes sense here since it's a panel light, not an area light.
Thank you for the reply post and link. I don't think I will go with the OEM on this one. I am surprised that there was not a recall on this issue.
The fixture is cheap, just install the correct lamp and it will be fine. I leave ours on allot just to light the space because the LED draws nothing.
THIS is an LED, and its brighter than the halogen it replaced. - harobertsonExplorerThank you for the reply post and link. I don't think I will go with the OEM on this one. I am surprised that there was not a recall on this issue.
- We_Cant_WaitExplorerLuckily I don't use my power center light hardly ever. It supplies so little light that I'm better off using the regular ceiling lights which have already been converted to LED's. Thanks for the heads up.
- SCVJeffExplorerThis is very very common. I see you are in California.. If you are going to Quartzsite, Gamblers has OEM replacements. Once you do that, replace the lamp with an LED and you will be golden
