Anyone ever run Firestone tires on their class A coach? Wondering if they are worth a **** or just what. Price here is so close to Yokohama's....that I hate not going Firestone.

I know you will be happy that I went with 315/80/22.5 on the front of my MH. They are FS400 and I like them a lot. They do have a high pitch whine at 45 that goes away at higher speeds. Since I did not need the weight carrying of a 295 on the rear 6 tires I went with Hankook 11R22.5 which I had to increase the pressure from 85 to 95 to equal the load carrying. For those that bash Firestone/Exploder much of the problem was too little air pressure by Ford. On my rubber tired loaders I had the best luck with Firestone where you put most of the weight of the machine on the front two tires. Learned to run Firestone on the front and whatever else I had on the rear.

And I followed Ivylog with the FS400s 315 fronts and went with FS560s 12Rs on the rear and tag. Wearing well, riding well about 20k miles so far, more on the fronts. :) :)Mine were fresh, less than a month when purchased. Very happy all the way around

I have the FS560 9R22.5 all the way around. Only have about 3000 miles on them, but am happy so far and the ride is really good. Plus I really like where they are made!!!

Sully, For what it is worth, my son was stationed at Marine Barracks Washington for 4 years and hence we made regular trips.With all the OTR buses on the mall, I would take note of what tires the pros are running. Firestones were on the majority of the buses.

After shopping around quite a bit we put the 560's on our DP. Ours takes a 275 70 22.5. Like the one poster said, there's some tread whine noise around 45mph, but its subtle on our coach. I thought they were a good value, quite a bit less expensive than the Michelins, even w/the FMCA pricing. Also, they were made in the US. We were replacing the oe Goodyears and I don't notice a difference in ride. I had a local shop install them and he spun balanced them.
