Firestone Ride Rite System

Just wondering....
I have the Firestone Ride Rite system on my 2012 FR Lexington. It has two seperate fill valves, one for each side. I remember back in the "olden" days with air shocks you had one fill valve with hoses running to each shock via a splitter.
My system is factory installed and just wondering if seperate valves are normal. Looked the system up on-line but could get no specific answer.

  • Thanks Bruce, makes sense. No biggie...just thinking while watching the snow melt.

  • Mine were that way too. I'd rather have it that way; if they were connected to a common line, then the pressure would transfer from side to side as you turned or pulled into driveways with uneven access... Having independent pressure helps to minimize sway.
