First time buyer - how bad is water damage

Wow that is perfect! I hope it's still available, I don't see it listed on their website. Will definitely call them in the morning. I've been looking for hours for something like that, how did you find it!? Ive been looking mostly on rvt.com, rvtrader.com, and a little on rvzez.com

2006 was a transition year, most PCs had one house battery, some had two. 2007 and beyond, all have two house batteries and whole house inverter.

Offer him $22,500 and see what happens.

I'm not sure why anyone would fly across the country to look at a 9 year old Class C. They're not that hard to find. There's probably 50 for sale in your state.
I certainly wouldn't look at one with water damage.

Yes, that was my thoughts and more.

10 years ago my wife and I agreed over the decision NOT to get a slide out for our Phoenix Cruiser, and we feel the same today. The slide out does not meet any of our needs or desires. Here was our list of benefits for each choice.

Benefits to having a slide out in a PC-2350
- More floor space
- Better resale value
- One additional person for sleeping accommodations

Benefits to NOT having a slide out
- Over $4,000 more for a slide out when ordering it new (spent that money on the fancy paint job instead)
- The dinette only works with more wall space than the slide out could provide, and we really wanted the dinette so much more than a couch. Our 3rd captain chair compensates for the lack of a couch.
- Much more interior storage provided by the two dinette bases and much wider/deeper/taller over-head cabinets
- Structural integrity of the over-all house is better
- The slide out adds 400 pounds. Weight is a chronic issue with all motor homes.
- Hotter inside in summer heat
- Colder inside on cold nights
- Humidity infiltration
- Water gets in with wind-driven rain
- Rattles when driving
- Dirt & bugs come in for the ride when bringing in the slide out
- We just don't like the "box in the house" when traveling
- Long term reliability issues

Simply stated, a slide out is not "our thing" at all. The 3 benefits don't apply to us and never will. We travel just us two people, we don't need a dance floor, and we'll own it so long that resale won't matter.

ron.dittmer why did you opt to not get the slide out? I prefer to have less moving parts that need repair - was that your thought too? By the way - your Phoenix is gorgeous.

If shopping for a PC-2350 with a no-slide-out dinette like we have HERE, there are but only a few out there. We ordered ours without the optional slide out. Nearly every one ordered or pre-made for sale, is made with the slide-out which provides a much smaller space, too small for a dinette, hence the couch. One nice thing about the couch is that it turns into a large bed for two people, much larger than a dinette bed for one person. If you must have what we have without the slide-out and find one for sale, think hard for you may not find another one for long time to come.
