It's not just their RV furniture, Flexsteels home stuff is junk too. My wife has a Flexsteel recliner, only a few years old, that is falling apart, and it has had pretty easy duty.
As far as Flexsteel saying Newmar picked an inferior product, Newmar builds motorhomes, not furniture. Like all MH manufacturers, they rely on their vendors to recommend and produce a quality product for use in their MH. It was Flexsteel who built an inferior product. I promise you back when this was built there was a Flexsteel salesman at the Newmar factory suggesting they pick this furniture for its superior quality. Newmar , or any other builder, didn't go to them and ask for the cheapest junk they made.
As far as relief on it, well...if it started 6 years ago as you say it did you should have said something 6 years ago, you may have had some success. Coming here now with a 8 year old MH with a 6 year old problem looking for relief, that's not really even reasonable, is it?
I only found out this week that Newmar used a lesser quality cover calling it ultraleather when it is not. My past calls to Newmar only would refer me to Flexsteel.
