I put Pergo in my downstairs about five years ago now. All I can say is this stuff is bullet proof. I have a Golden Retriever and you can hear those toe nails starting to dig in every time he tries to run on it. I've even seen him scratching at the floor and he's never even left a mark on it. Five years later the floor looks just as good as the day it was installed. Not sure what must have happened to the ones you installed. Is it possible they get soaked in water somehow?
