trust me real wood works just fine.Been there and done that BUT like i posted real wood is 3/4 inch thick and may interfere with a lot of slides!!
I have as I posted REAL brazilian cherry wood on my large Living room slide and been in 100 degree heats and now it -3 below and looks the same.Outta here next week for indio ca
I should say though that real wood scratches and laminate rarely does
