Vinyl is probably the quickest, easiest to install and cheapest flooring around. Better than carpet in many ways. 3/4" Hardwood (Bruce) is the most luxurious(IMO). Porcilan or ceramic are perfect for wet areas. Each type has its pros and cons. In the rolling earthquake boxes we drive I prefer the vinyl, partly because these boxes are semi-exterior environments. they are vehicles and not 100% climate controlled like a house. they VIBRATE, SHAKE and EXPAND/CONTRACT. So vinyl for me in my RV. Just my preference.
lots of what U say I agree with but the Vinyl Iam talking about and have used is not cheapest or easiest at all to install because of the required perfect subfloor and the hand gluing system.
