Fogged up dual pane window suggestions ?

RV Fog Doctor in Searcy, AR or Suncoast Design in Hudson, FL.... whichever is closer to you. We have appointment with RV Fog Doctor in June to get 4 fogged windows repaired.

Argh its so frustrating having to look at a dang fogged up window...

I've got an appointment with Suncoast in Hudson, FL in june. You can stay at their hookup and they will do it on site.

Suncoast Design is great. They eventually did all our windows. Great customer service.

About what does the cost run to repair a foggy window? I know it will probably depend on the size of the window, but sort of an average cost. I have one small crank out window that started sweating on the inside and was quoted $600 by the RV factory to replace the window so I drilled a couple of very small holes in the seal between the plates and sprayed canned air (like used to clean computers) into one hole so it exited out the other hole which got the space cleared up but I know I need to get it fixed.

Had the windows on my 03 Adventurer done at Suncoast. Great place and great folks. Park in their campground, the take the windows out and cover the holes with cardboard (sometimes it rains there :-). They take apart your windows, clean them, then reseal them. If the glass is etched and uncleanable, they make new windows. Reinstall and all done.

You might find replacement is less expensive than repair.:)

We had the same problem with our 2001 Winnebago Adventurer. We were able to order a new dual pane window from Atwood Mobile Products. It was far less expensive than having a local glass company attempt to repair the old one.

Fast forward a few years. We purchased a 2013 Winnebago Adventurer also with the dual pane windows. However this time around both the drivers side and the passengers side front windows are no longer dual pane. They've gone to single pane windows to eliminate the fogging problem. The only downside is condensation forms on the inside of those windows when it's warmer in the motorhome than outside.

You might want to check with Tiffin as to whether they have single pane replacements. Winnebago offered both single and dual pane replacements. Tiffin might as well.

I guess that all depends on if they need a good excuse to take a trip to Florida or not. This weekend was amazing down on Ft Meyers beach.
