Ford Creger

I just purchased this RV, i'm super stoked about it as it seems as though it was build specifically for me :B I have not and cannot find much information on them. It is called a Ford Creger, built on a 79 F-350 chassis, 4wd with a 400m motor. Runs amazingly and i cant wait for some exploring in it. I am already an active member on Expedition Portal and no one over there knows much about them? Figured i'd ask here and show off my first (and probably only) RV purchase, and i also wanted to make sure that im in the correct forum? This counts as a class C doesn't it??

Enjoy the pictures!

  • I just want you all to know....

I love my RV, and while driving her.... I feel like i'm floating on a cloud =D
  • Oh yes, this is absolutely a go anywhere do anything rig... Thats the only reason why i bought it, factory 4wd, no crazy conversions, Dana 60's Front and Rear... After a slight lift/larger tires and lockers... It will definitely go anywhere.

The wood panels in the loft bed do show some signs of water damage, but given that its a 79... I expected that. I plan on utilizing this all winter (snowboarding/chasing powder) and then next spring completely redo/update the interior, maybe adding a paint job as well... I dont care what anyone says, the 70's are not coming back lol.
  • Yep, it's a _very_ cool class C! Congratulations, and welcome! I wish I had some knowledge of it to share with you, but that's the first one I've ever seen. Reminds me strongly of my '06 Tiger CX:
You've got more headroom in the overhead bunk and easier cab access. I'm wondering if Dave Rowe (Tiger's designer) had anything to do with yours. Please keep us updated as you learn more.

  • My father got his first camper when I was in the USAF at basic. This was in 71, it was a class C built on a F350 camper special. He traded it in on a slid in camper a couple of years after I finished my hitch. The older camper drove much better, but was to much a beast for the daily drive to work. I loved the old camper and it is a good part of the reason I have a class C now. Congrats on the find.
  • Sweet! That rig combines my two favorite hobbies, RVs and Dentsides (nickname for that body style Ford truck). I'm only slightly jealous! :B
  • What a crazy and really cool looking unit!

Give us some more pics of the inside. Seeing the "puffy" ceiling over the bed area makes me want to open it up and take a look to make sure there is no water getting in.

What size engine does it have?

    Welcome Aboard!

Coach looks great! F-series chassis that you can actually get to things and work on. Fiberglass body, 4WD to boot!

And yes, it's a C. Cabover bunk and access to the cockpit from the living area.
