Ford F53 chassis handling modification question

My class A coach (2013 Newmar Bay Star) is on a Ford F53 chassis. I've heard that a Super Steer rear track bar will help, if not cure the tippy feeling when going around curves and corners. Anyone with experience with a track bar?

Thanks, Ken

  • Ken -- you can search this and other RV forums for Ford chassis/suspension equipment and upgrades and find lots of advice, opinions and testimonials on the benefits (or not) of track bars, sway bars, and stabilizers. brazelsrv.com is a popular site to browse and purchase equipment. I have run into a couple of guys who rave about their Roadmaster anti-sway bars. I have concluded that the 22K chassis benefits more from the upgrades than 24K chassis. For now I'm satisfied with the handling on my 36 foot, 24K chassis, now 7,000 miles in a wide variety of driving conditions. Remember, it's a big, tall truck, not a sports car. Good luck!
  • I had a 2006 f53 and I used another brand trac bar and the difference was night and day.
