I also went through this issue. There is a TSB for this code and the code needs to be active when doing TSB checks. As I remember, there are three different corrective actions for the code with fuel pump replacement being one. The other two checked okay for me and the TSB recommendation was to replace pump. I had this done and the code problem was corrected. The clock was around 77,000 miles when the pump was replaced and is now about 103,300 miles.
