Personally I would not go by any "If it's level enough to..." statements. Those aren't going to help you when the fridge wont cool in hot weather because it's partially clogged.
Actually I tend to agree with you But here is a direct quote from the Dometic manual:"Leveling is one of the requirements for proper operation with absorption refrigerators.
To ensure proper leveling the vehicle needs to be leveled only so it is comfortable to live in (no noticeable sloping of floor or walls)." (italics mine)
