From Mass to Cali and back
Anyone ever make this trip? I am going to do it in the summer of 2016. That gives me a little over a year to plan it. Looking for tips, best routs, stuff to see, places to stop and general advise. ...

3 weeks is the most I can off from work. At that it is pushing it and the 3rd week I will have to work while on the road. So I have ability to make the trip longer.
I planed on Cali for a few reasons.
1: I have always wanted to drive cross country.
2: There are states along the way that I have never set foot in.
3: There are things I want to see and things I want to show my wife. Ive never seen the badlands and she has never seen the Rocky Mountains.
4: It was the first place that came to mind.
With all that said, where would you go if you only had 3 weeks? We've done the road trip to Florida about 12 times so it would be good to try something different.
