Have someone turn the ignition key to the on position while you are back at the tank, with the key turned on ,you should hear the pump power up for 3 seconds. If not the pump might be bad. There is also a fuel pump relay & ford also has enercia switches on most of their vehicles that could stop the pump from getting power.
