Fuel hose leaking

I have a 2006 Four Winds on a Chevy 3500 express chassis. Today I fueled up and noticed fuel dripping. Looked under and see there is a rubber pipe going from the filler tube to the gas tank inlet tube. It stopped dripping when I got home since the gas was no longer in that tube. Is that a special rubber hose? I can't seem to find it on places like RockAuto or JC Whitney. I have a manual for the Chevy Express but naturally this section has probable been modified for the coach. Any help would be great. My only other idea is to try and remove it when the fuel level is down and see what auto parts stores might have.

  • Thanks...that is what i figured. I looked under closer and there is one hose from the filler pipe (metal) to a coupler hose (a short nipple) then another hose from that to the pipe coming from the fuel tank. Makes me wonder if that was done because of the coach body width or because of some defect. Why they didn't just use one long hose makes me wonder. The ground wire is on the down spout from the filler tube so there is no reason I can find why to not use a single piece long hose. Your thoughts?
  • HERE is a place that sell them, all you need is the size and length.Or use the parts finder to find year and model.
  • You'll need to either remove the hose and take it to an auto parts store or measure the hose (length and inside diameter) to get a replacement. Be sure to let them know it is used between the fuel filler tube and gas tank.

The auto parts store should have a replacement hose based upon the measurements.
