FW water drain

My 2014 Sunseeker 2300 (sister model to Forrester) has a blue line with a petcock in it. The petcock is behind a door inside a storage compartment, where the water filter and water pump are also found.

On my unit, while there is a drain valve for the tank, there is no valve for the cold water piping. That function is handled by removing the filter bowl. It's not the best design IMO, but it does work.

Ever find it?

have also seen FW drain lines with no valve ... a cap fitting screwed onto the end of the line is the only thing holding the water in.

Some RV, have a drain point that is "T"ed off the supply line leading to the pump. The RV I saw this in had the pump in an exterior compartment that sat lower than the FW tank. If your rig is tall it might have the same setup (the setup makes priming the pump easier). The drain valve was close to the T. There was also a FW system drain valve in the same area ( a T just after the pump. The compartment was insulated).

I think the mystery of the FW drain has been solved. There isn't one. I called several RV service departments. All but one said they had no experience with a Forester 2431. They one that did said they had one in to be winterized and found no FW drain. They couldn't get in touch with anyone at the factory because they are closed this week so they used the pump to drain the tank so that is what I did.

Look up the manufacturer and ask them.

2016s don't come with an owner's manual? Or Forest River doesn't have a section on winterizing?

Some units have a pull up tiny valve that is located on the floor right next to the tank - it's pretty small and you probably have to be searching for it to find it.
