The RV bay on our garage is 48 (L) X 15 (W) x 16 (H) with an additional 22 (L) x 32 (W) two bay garage/workshop on one side. The RV door is 12 (W) x 14 (H) and the other two doors are 10 x 10. The 15' is wide enough to open all four slides and basement doors. Since one side is open to additional garage/workshop I felt I didn't need to make the RV bay any wider. We also used trusses to avoid having any columns in the open spaces. The trusses on the workshop side are "attic trusses" and have a 11 x 22 storage area in the center that is rated to carry 20 lbs/sq ft. We find these are comfortable dimensions to do what we need to do with the RV when it is in the garage. How often do you plan on walking around the RV when the slides are open? If you plan on doing that a lot and find it too difficult to duck under the slides, I would think an additional 2 feet on either side would be adequate. Good luck with the build.
